RIP, Yordano Ventura and Andy Marte

On Sunday morning, January 22nd, it was revealed that the young Royals power righty, Yordano Ventura was found dead as as result of a car accident in his native Dominican Republic.  On the same morning, Andy Marte was also found dead in a car collision in the same country.

It has a been a tough six months for baseball fans.  On September 25th, we lost Jose Fernandez who was on the path to the Hall of Fame as he was taken away from us too soon.

Baseball and cricket are my two favorite sports and sometimes I can be carried away with what happens on the field however death brings everything into perspective. Please pray for the eternal repose for these men and the grace of consolation for their families.
